## Smarter Order Assignment in Logistics

Making courier assignment more predictable and more stable is the most certain way of making the most unpredictable and costly section of order management easier to handle. This was achieved via improving the order assignment algorithm: 

**1) Don’t cancel an order when an external delivery service cancels a request**

Before: if an external delivery provider canceled a request and didn’t assign a new courier, the order was automatically canceled.
Now: if the provider cancels and does not reassign, the system attempts to assign the order to a partner’s own courier.

**2) Don’t drop the courier when order fields change during pick-and-pack**

Before: if an order was assigned to a courier before picking was completed, any change to order parameters caused automatic unassignment.
Now: it's possible to configure which fields should trigger a drop — or disable auto-drop entirely.

These updates help avoid unnecessary cancellations and reassignments, improving the stability of the delivery process.

## Flexible Slot Delivery Scheduling 

Give partners full control over delivery slots with a more flexible and powerful configuration system.
We’ve significantly upgraded the slot delivery service. Previously, slot schedules had to follow a single, rigid template with identical start/end times and uniform intervals.

Now the system supports fully customized slot management:
•	Set different slot durations throughout the day
•	Configure custom visibility rules for each slot
•	Assign individual default capacity per slot
•	Create weekday-specific schedules
•	Disable or hide individual slots at any moment without changing store operating hours

Partners can manage capacities themselves via the Admin Panel.
These improvements provide the flexibility needed to support a wide range of operational scenarios.

What it does:
New feature automatically sorts and prioritizes orders in the queue based on their specific delivery deadlines. This means your picking staff will always know which order to pick next, without having to wait for instructions. Whether an order is an express delivery or scheduled for a specific time slot, the system brings it to the top of the list when it's due.
 
The problem it solves:
Before this update, many dark stores struggled with mixed order queues, which led to confusion and delays. Pickers had to rely on a supervisor to manually direct them, constantly telling them which orders were urgent. This not only created bottlenecks but also added an extra layer of management that slowed down the entire process. 

Our solution eliminates this confusion, allowing your team to work independently and with a clear focus on the next most important task. 

Impact from a case study of one dark store from a larger grocery retailer:
1. +10% improvement in on-time picking
2. Supervisor role fully eliminated

This feature gives customers greater flexibility when dealing with unavailable products. During checkout, customers can now choose how to handle items that are out of stock. They can either remove the item from their order entirely or opt to approve replacements via a quick phone call with the dedicated picker working on their order. This provides a smoother and more personalized shopping experience.

Manage cash disbursements to couriers, track customer payments, set cash limits, and ensure secure cash returns at the end of shifts.

A new feature: the Darkstore Cash Service is a comprehensive warehouse cash register system that simplifies the complexities of cash transactions.  

The Darkstore Cash Service allows you to easily manage cash disbursements to couriers for change, accurately track customer cash payments, set individual courier cash limits, and, most importantly, ensure that couriers return their cash to the warehouse securely at the end of their shifts. This system provides greater control and transparency over your cash handling, reducing the risk of discrepancies and improving overall efficiency.

For customers who want to pay by cash, this new feature has been released in both White-Label App and Courier App.
How does it work? The customer puts the amount he needs change for, and the courier sees it in his app. This way, handling delivery becomes significantly faster. Finally, to ensure transparency, these details are additionally displayed in the order admin panel
